The Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club, a dynamic group of just 47 members, has been honored as the top per capita giver to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund within District 5340, which comprises 60 clubs. District Governor Diane Crawford presented the club with the prestigious #1 flag, recognizing their extraordinary achievement.

With an average contribution of $883 per member, Encinitas Coastal Rotary far surpassed other clubs in the district, including the largest club with 400 members. This milestone reflects the club’s dedication to Rotary’s mission of making a meaningful impact both locally and globally.

“Our members are deeply committed to creating positive change,” said Club President Chris Davis. “Receiving the #1 flag is a testament to their generosity and belief in the transformative work of the Rotary Foundation.”

The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund supports initiatives that strengthen peace, fight disease, provide clean water and sanitation, save mothers and children, support education, grow local economies, and protect the environment. Contributions from clubs like Encinitas Coastal Rotary help drive these efforts, empowering Rotary and Rotaract clubs to take action today for a better tomorrow.

District Governor Crawford praised the club’s dedication. “Encinitas Coastal Rotary sets an inspiring example for all of us,” she said during the award presentation. “Your contributions are a beacon of hope for communities near and far.”
