Encinitas, CA—The Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club’s annual “Be Thankful” Happy Hour brought members together for a festive evening of giving back to the community. Hosted by Carl and Beppie Mostert, the event focused on collecting much-needed supplies for Carol’s House, the Community Resource Center’s (CRC) emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence.

Thanks to the club’s efforts, Carol’s House is now stocked for the winter season with over 40 new pillows and 50 bath towels. Club members also embraced the holiday spirit by donating dozens of toys, games, and books for children of all ages, ensuring Santa has plenty of surprises for babies, tots, and teens.

Marla Elliott, the club member who organized the event, shared, “It’s incredibly rewarding to see our members come together for such a meaningful cause. Our club’s generosity will directly impact the lives of those in need, and it’s wonderful to know that we’re helping families feel safe and cared for during the winter season.”

The Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club continues to embody the Rotary spirit of service and fellowship, contributing to local programs that uplift the community.
