The Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club, in collaboration with the community, transformed the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course into a thrilling spectacle on May 11 with their sensational Golf Ball Drop and Silent Auction. This dynamic event, a testament to everyone’s collective commitment, dazzled attendees and made a significant impact by raising awareness and funds for local charities dedicated to supporting at-risk youth.

Despite the cloudy and cool weather, the highlight of the day saw 3,000 numbered golf balls cascading from a helicopter, each one vying for a spot closest to the hole. The tension was palpable, and cheers erupted as the winning ball clinched the $2,000 prize.

Guests were treated to a feast for the senses, with delectable desserts, tantalizing appetizers, and refreshing cocktails enjoyed from the veranda. Although the ocean view was small, the ambiance was lively, underscored by the community’s commitment to a worthy cause.

The event’s beneficiaries, including The Boys & Girls Club Griset Ranch, The Warrior Foundation Freedom Station, and Lifeline Community Services, are set to benefit significantly from the incredible $57,000 raised. This unforgettable day of fun and philanthropy, made possible by generous contributions, showcased the best of Encinitas’ spirit, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
