The Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club (ECR) celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in style at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on March 15, 2025. The lively Happy Hour event, dubbed “St. Patty’s at St. Andy’s,” combined festive cheer with meaningful giving, benefitting the Showers of Blessings program.
Sixteen enthusiastic Rotarians attended the gathering, sporting their finest green attire to honor the holiday. The Parish Hall buzzed with conversation and laughter as members feasted on appetizers and traditional Irish fare, including corned beef and cabbage, sipped beverages, and enjoyed the camaraderie.
More importantly, the event resulted in a remarkable show of generosity. Many more members contributed supplies, and attendees brought donations to support Showers of Blessings, a vital program that provides essentials for those in need. Thanks to the collective effort, two large rolling bins filled with much-needed items were delivered to the program. Donations included essential clothing such as men’s and women’s socks, underwear, shoes, jackets, and practical items like belts, backpacks, and sleeping bags.
Showers of Blessings is a volunteer-run organization that offers free showers, clean clothing, and other essential services to the unhoused community in North Coastal San Diego County. They provide a welcoming space where guests can refresh, connect with resources, and feel supported.
ECR has proudly supported the Showers of Blessings program for several years, embodying our commitment to service and community engagement. This memorable evening highlighted the heart of the Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club—fellowship, fun, and service. Thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to making a positive impact in the community.
